Sticker Adhesive Types: Permanent / Removable / Strong-Tack
Same sticker, different adhesive can mean 50% return-rate difference. 3 main adhesive types compared, with use cases and test methods.
The 3 adhesive types
- Permanent — strong initial tack, leaves residue on peel. Pkg seal, warning labels.
- Removable — medium initial tack, no residue, can re-stick 1-3 times. Wall decals, temp promo.
- High-Tack — very strong initial, sticks to rough surfaces (corrugated, kraft). Industrial label, outdoor.
Common mistakes
Case 1: Customer wants 'wall-safe peel-off' stickers, gets permanent — wall damaged, returns. → Use removable.
Case 2: Removable on corrugated box — peels off in transit. → Use high-tack.
