"5D embossed" is a buzzword from the creative-goods, blind-box and gift-box packaging scene: multi-layer materials stacked and HF-welded into a strongly raised 3D sticker. The material is PVC foam, not epoxy doming — doming is glue-dispensing + UV curing, prone to smell and bubbles, and we do not do it.

How the 3D effect is made

Layers of foam in different thicknesses are stacked and pressed in an HF mold; electromagnetic waves make the material heat and fuse by itself while the edges are cut clean in the same press. More layers and bigger thickness differences mean stronger relief — raised faces, patterns and borders are possible, and 3M adhesive or magnets can be added to the back.
