Metal Transfer Sticker Custom — Real Metal Foil by HF Hot Stamping
A metal transfer sticker is not printed to look metallic — real metal foil is hot-pressed onto the substrate: reflective, durable, with real depth. Yikang makes metal transfers by HF + hot stamping for appliance nameplates, leather logos, garment labels and gift-box merch. This guide covers process differences, custom specs and MOQ.

First, the differences: metal transfer vs foil stamping vs heat transfer
A metal transfer sticker = real metal foil (gold/silver/holographic) bonded to a substrate by heat and pressure: a continuous metallic surface, strong reflectivity, optional brushed or mirror texture, real tactile depth. Foil stamping is the most common way metal transfers are made; heat transfer moves an ink layer and can only "print" a metallic color with no true metal feel. Quick test: can the surface work as a mirror? Real foil can; printing cannot.
Products that use metal transfer stickers at scale
- Appliance nameplates: control-panel labels on coffee makers and rice cookers — must resist wiping and fading
- Leather goods & luggage: hot-stamped logos on wallets and suitcases — finer than sewn labels
- Garment & footwear: metallic-look hang-tag stickers for denim and sneakers — survive washing
- Merch & gift boxes: coasters, cards, gift-box seals with a premium unboxing feel
Custom specs, MOQ and lead time
Typical build: metal foil layer + substrate (PVC foam 3D or flat PVC) + adhesive (permanent or removable). Thickness 0.8-2.0mm; foil colors gold/silver/holographic/bronze with mirror, brushed or spot-matte finishes. MOQ 2,000 pcs/design; sampling 5-15 days + production 5-15 days. Note: real foil has a narrower color range than printing — no full-color images, only solid metallic areas with cutouts/embossing — so artwork must be designed in foil colors.
Why Yikang for metal transfers
The core machine for metal transfers is an HF/hot-press — Yikang's HF shop (27.12MHz dual-station single-head presses plus single-station units) also runs the hot-stamping station, so metal foil and foam 3D forming finish in one pass, never subcontracted. Flat metal labels run on a print + hot-press line. QC: crosshatch adhesion test on stamped foil, alcohol-wipe resistant, exporting to 47 countries. Ask for a foil sample card first to confirm gloss and adhesion before die-making.
